NYPD Sergeant Convicted of Raping 13-Year-Old Girl Four Times Only Gets Three Years

An NYPD sergeant convicted of raping and otherwise sexually assaulting his girlfriend’s 13-year-old daughter on several occasions has been sentenced to only three years in prison.

39-year-old Vladimir Krull had been facing up to 21 years when a jury found him guilty on several counts of rape, sexual abuse, committing a criminal sexual act, and endangering the welfare of a child.

The victim said Krull raped her on at least four occasions when she was 13, and in another incident, forced her to perform oral sex on him while in a car outside of her school.

He’d just taken her to a father/daughter breakfast when he forced her to engage in the sexual act with him.

She’d lost her father the year before and Krull had been asked to take her.

The girl said in court that he started sexually assaulting her in September of 2013, kissing her on the mouth just a few weeks after she turned 13.

The victim, who’s now 16, testified that he first forced her into having sex with him in her mother’s apartment, then later made her have sex with him while they were in his car.

The two incidents occurred sometime between November of 2013 and February of 2014.

The third incident happened in June of 2014, when the victim says he forced her to give him oral sex in his car.

According to the prosecution, he’d also had sexually explicit conversations with her just days before his arrest in February of 2015.

He was arrested after the girl’s mother went into the police station and told officers that he’d raped her daughter multiple times.

The jury took five days to deliberate after four weeks of testimony. Prosecutors pushed for a minimum of 15 years. He was given three.

He’ll have to register as a sex offender upon release, and will be supervised and monitored for five years.
